Thanks Irene :o)

I made this card the other day but I've only just got round to uploading the picture. I made it to thank Irene for, well just for being Irene really. I chose the handbag and cat image as she loves bags and I love cats so it kinda represents us both. I'm happy to say she loved the card, and here it is...

... and it's 'Quite White' ... ;o) xx

Beep beep, congrats you passed!

When Mr Maisie came home from work last night he asked if I had anything in my vast card making collection for someone who had passed their driving test as one of his colleagues had just lost their L's (YAY!). All I had that was to do with cars was a vintage sports car and that was far too masculine for a 20 something girlie girl so out came my thinking cap...

I had a look on line for a car template and eventual found a nice simple side view. With the car being simple I knew it could take a 'busy' paper so out came my stash and here’s what I came up with, I just hope she likes it :o)

I'm not 100% happy with the butterfly but apart from that I'm really happy with how it turned out, I even like the oversized wheels as it looks like the car has been 'pimped' lol. I'm just debating now if there is enough 'white' on the card to be eligible for the 'Quite White' challenge over at MTTC, I don't suppose it can hurt to enter again...

2.5 days dizzy free!

Yes! I have had 2 and a half days free from dizzy spells!!! I soooo hope that this means my 5 week spell of vertigo is over (please keep your fingers crossed for me). I felt so well yesterday that I thought I'd have a bash at a card so I headed over to My Time To Craft Challenge to get some ideas and inspiration and hoping for an easier challenge than 'Music Medley'. Well this week’s challenge is 'Quite White', less is more so lots of white spaces are needed for this one, and what’s any whiter than snow?...

I bought some new snowflake dies a few weeks back that I really wanted to try along with a heat embosser and a couple of powders so I got the idea for this card quite easily. The dies were lovely to use, gave a nice crisp finish but 2 of them didn't have a 'pokey out hole' so it wasn't easy to free them once they were cut, I'll definitely make sure future dies have a hole! I loved embossing!!! I can't wait to do more of it, I just hope my next project won’t fly about as much as my snowflakes did though lol.

So here it is, my first ever entry in a card making challenge, I hope you like it as much as I do :o)
