Pictures are back!

At last. I can add pictures again!!! :o)

Well, dads birthday has come and gone. We went out for a yummy tea and I think he really enjoyed him self. I had a bash at making the cascade card and although I loved the shape of it, it just wasn't big enough for how I wanted to embellish it so I ended up making a triple easel card but silly me, I forgot to take a picture of it :o(

Seen as the picture feature is back up and running, here's a couple of pics of past projects...

Back in October it was Mr M's birthday so I made him this
Angry Birds card (totally from scratch!!!!!) which he loved!!!

A birthday card for a friend using the good old
Forever Friends bear

Made this one to send a hug for a new friend

A thank you card for a very good friend...

...and it's box.

I was asked to make a card for a friends
sisters birthday and this is what I came up with
the recipient liked it so much, she framed it!!!

All tucked up in it's box

This was for my uncles birthday

I'll leave it there for now, I don't want to spoil you! ;o) hehe
Take care xx

Off on a tangent...

OK, so I ate and then I went for a look on Pinterest for some 'Dad ideas' and I ended up following a hand full of new blogs and looking through their back catalogue! I found some very talented people's blogs that I just had to join in the hope that they may inspire me to get my crafty butt in gear ;o)

Anyway, I did find a few ideas for Dad and this is what I think I'm going to have a go at making, a 'double tri fold cascade' card (minus the butterflies with manly stuff added!)

It's a bit late to start it now but I hope to make a start tomorrow, with any luck by the time I finish it, the picture adding thing will be sorted out and you can all have a look at how it turns out.

See ya soon! xx

Why are male cards so difficult?

It's nearly my dads birthday again and I've been looking round for inspiration and so far I have ZERO ideas!

I've done a blog search. facebook search and google search and I have nothing! Seen some lovely ideas for female cards but nothing male. I want something special, I think 78 years of age deserves special, don't you?

This is last years offerings...

A word book full of pictures and memories
An easel card

Oooooo I have just remembered about Pintrest!!! Going to have a bit of tea and then I'll hit pintrest!

Wish me luck and if you have any ideas for me, please pass them on :o) xx

P.S. Still can't add pictures from my PC :o(

Hmmm, can't add any pictures...

I've been trying for a few days now to blog about what I made for Christmas but for some reason I can't add any pics from my computer. Looks like I'm able to add them if they are already on line but not if they are stored on my PC. I had a look in the help section and they suggested using Firefox instead of IE but Firefox wont even open Blogger!

I do hope normal service is resumed soon...

NEW YEAR, NEW START! (Again...)

Happy New Year!!!

Well here we are again, the start of a brand new shiny new year, I wonder what 2013 will hold for us all?

2012 wasn't really a bad year, if fact it and I started off pretty well (apart from my dizzy head) but it wasn't great. Don't get me wrong I don't want anything big and flash or to have a life/things bigger and better than anyone else but it would be nice to live a little and not just exists if you know what I mean, to have a little something to look forward to every now and again and maybe even a little something to get excited about...

I've just had a look back to my new years post from last year and my goals really haven't changed at all...

So here it is my new/old list...

Things I want to achieve...(Take 2)
  • Get out and about more
  • Take more photographs
  • Craft more (and use stash that I already have)
  • Blog more often (seen as my last post was almost FIVE months ago, this shouldn't be too hard!)
  • Get to know new people
  • Get to bed at a reasonable time

I really am going to try harder but if you see me lagging behind please feel free to give a a kick up the bum ;o)

See ya soon xx

Thank You Sizzix!

Just a quick post to keep my hand in today.

A good few weeks back tragedy struck, the handle of my Big Shot broke, I was devastated! I love my big shot, I use it on almost every project and I just knew I was going to be lost without it. I didn't want to buy a new one, not only due to the cost but because it was a Christmas present a few years back and I'm a sentimental kinda girl.

Anyway, a few days later I was on the Sizzix facebook page and I saw someone ask about buying parts for their Big Shot, it never occurred to me that I may be able to buy a new handle, I couldn't type my request for where to buy my part quick enough! To cut a long story short Sizzix sent me out a new handle, totally free of charge!!! Thank you Sizzix xx so I decided I would make them a thank you card, using my nice new handled Big Shot machine, and here it is...

I really hope Sizzix liked it as much as I did having my machine back!

I also entered it in the Cardmaking & Papercraft Challenge, let's hope I have better luck than last month!

Hmmmm, so much for a quick post...

Toodles xx

Running before I could walk

It seems I wasn't as well as I thought I was when I declared I was 'back!'. My heads a shed still so I haven't been crafting this last week or so but I wanted to post here so I don't get totally out of the habit.

I want to share my latest craft purchase with you and I think it was a bargain!!!

The gun (including a few glue sticks) was £3.49 and the packs of 20 glue sticks were £1.26 each, so all this for £6.01!

Check out the DIY section of your local Home Bargains store, it's amazing what crafty bargains you could find ;o)

Can't wait till my head clears and I can have a play with my new toy!

TTFN xx
